Terroir:

The grapes for this wine come from various vineyards in the Heideboden region east of Lake Neusiedl. Heideboden is a flat area featuring warm, permeable soils of gravel and black earth that produce especially rich wines.

Harvest:

Following yield reduction to 7 bunches per vine, the grapes were carefully selected and harvested by hand on 20 September and 03 October.

Vinification:

Selection of the grapes, gentle processing, controlled mash fermentation, malolactic fermentation, matured in barrique barrels for 18 months, bottled on 15 February 2024

Tasting notes:

Deep, vibrant ruby red with a bright rim; on the nose, clear notes of blackberry and blueberry fruit with hints of Amarena cherry and licorice that carry through on the palate; juicy, meaty, soft, with a fine tannic structure, along with a touch of licorice and mocha notes, very elegant and balanced, with a long-lasting finish (02 February 2024)
